Pets and husbandry

A complete of 27 male and 19 female DGFs had been found in this research. Pets had been housed at Mississippi State University’s (MSU) Amphibian Conservation Lab (Starkville, MS, United States Of America) for the duration of the study. All pets were captive reared during the Memphis Zoo and Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo, and had been utilized in MSU ahead of the start of research. Animal ages ranged from about four to six yrs . old through the entire research duration. The pet husbandry techniques and therapy protocols had been authorized by Mississippi State University’s Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC #10–082).

Frogs had been housed in plastic polycarbonate tanks (46 Ч 66 x 30 cm; Habitat Systems Limited, Diverses Moines, Iowa, United States Of America) both in single and environments that are mixed-sex between one and four conspecifics. (more…)
